Kirk and Elisabeth both come from generations of cattle ranchers. I guess you could say it’s in our blood. We love the land, cattle and good ranch horses. We enjoyed growing up on ranches and appreciate the blessing of teaching our children the value of a job well done, what is means to care for animals, how to work hard and never quit, and working together as a family. What we put in our bodies is important to us and we think everyone should have access to 100% Natural beef without hormones, antibiotics, steroids, and false marketing claims. We started Mesa Beef for families like us who care about what they eat, how and where it was raised and the story behind their food.
Mazie enjoys ranch life and knows her own cows and heifers, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their calves each year. She is an animal lover and budding entrepreneur. Gifted a small flock of chickens by a neighbor, Mazie’s love for chickens took flight. She started selling 100% organic, free range, pasture raised eggs to family and friends when she was 6 years old, naming her business The Cozy Coop. Another kind neighbor gave her a start in the goat business by giving her two bottle babies when she was just 4 years old. She has since partnered with her Dad and brother buying a small herd of goats and knows each nanny and her kids. In the summertime she enjoys competing in the sport of rodeo on her beloved pony, Ribbons. She's one of the reasons we started Mesa Beef and loves serving our customers by writing personal notes with artwork for each one.
Wyatt is the youngest at Mesa Beef and started riding by himself at 4 years old. He wants to be involved in every aspect of the ranch. Being a ranch kid suits him well since he loves anything involving dirt, trucks, equipment and animals. He likes to do his chores which include feeding the ranch dogs and cats and often is singing while riding his pony, Clever. Pretending to be Roy Rogers, he likes his toy rifle tied onto his saddle so he can catch the bad guys. Wyatt enjoys working on anything he thinks requires a screwdriver or hammer to fix and living everyday ranch life. He is kindhearted towards animals and especially loves his sidekick dog, Sargeant Sparky.
